Dutch is a beautiful boy who hails from the world-renowned Xanthos Kennel in the UK where Heather Morss has dedicated decades of time and energy to her outstanding breeding program. Dutch is the son of Heather's beautiful Foreign Affaire and Mieke Gerritsen's handsome boy from Holland Sultan of Sand van de Beerse Hoeve..... hence his registered name being in honor of the Dutch artist "Mondriaan".


Dutch had a wonderful career in the UK winning Best puppy (Horsham & District Open Show) at only 6 months -- as well as an impressive Gundog Puppy Group One win. Campaigned during 2010 at the prestigous CRUFTS dog show -- Dutch proudly won his class with great style and flair. The year 2012 saw Dutch back in the ring at the Windsor Championship Show where he won the Limit dog class and was awarded the reserve CC. (His son Xanthos Giotto at Graceleigh won the graduate class and his grandson Xanthos Ferrari was best puppy!!)


In addition to Dutch's show accomplishments, a very noteworthy aspect is that he maintains the "dual purpose" of the breed which is so important. A boy with both brains AND beauty ! With his natural retriever and strong swimming abilities, Dutch has done extremely well in the shooting field and went on to pass his Show Gundog Working Certificate in December 2010.


Dutch is now lovingly and proudly owned by Joanne Cava of Tanglewood Golden Retrievers in South Carolina and we look forward to the great contributions he will make to the breed this side of the ocean. Dutch is currently being campaigned towards his Canadian Championship and has already made a lasting impression on everyone he meets with his amazingly sweet temperament and head-turning looks.


As a crowning accomplishment - Dutch has sired numerous multi-champion children world-wide who have gone on to be successful in the show ring and cherished as companions. A true ambassador for the breed, we wish him the best for his future here in North America !!
